Dear tangueros,
Yes, the Salon de los Jovenes -the Asian
Tango Saga- has passed and hereby I would like to share my feelings of
gratitude towards everybody that was part of that event.
First of all,
my compliments to DJ Arthur, for setting the ambience in a very
nice Asian-tango-etc. way, it was a lovely evening and a big part of
that had to do with your tunes (and not to forget the fantastic
tanda-music, LOVED IT!).
Secondly, warm hugs and a big high five to Sing, Alex, Salvatore and Erwin, the performing artists of that
evening, for surprising us all with a daring, beautiful, powerful and
very cool demonstration of several martial arts and some incorporated
hidden tango moves (that's right, you had to see it to believe it!) If
I could get the hang of those moves they would surely become useful to
gently but strongly decline to the invitation of certain "misinformed"
tangueros to dance. Finally a way to be firm and clear without being
rude! ( I could say I simply slipped on that slippery dancefloor!)
And
we sure did enjoy seeing our tangueros in a total different
way..Strong, masculin, proud, cool, and not to mention cute in those
Fighting-Karate-Kid outfits.. (Spring is most certainly in the air
isn't it??!!)
So...on behalf of the former Sahara
Sisters ( Jovenes del tango-Oriental / September 2005 edition) Thank
you, for (sort of) setting the score and accepting our challenge to
react to our (half naked/ steamy/ very hard trained) performance. Let's
set the next battle of the sexes!!
For all our
visitors on March 18, who wore lovely Asian orientated dresses/ tops
etc..THANK YOU! This salon was the most decorated one in the Jovenes
history, and you made it look even better! We hope you had a nice
evening and please feel free to react in any way.
Our
goal is to make our Salon a pleasant, entertaining salon for all
visitors, so if there is any way that we can improve things, please let
us know!
